For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be an author. Books fascinate me. The ability to transport a reader into a fictional world you created is such an intimate act. Creating emotions for characters that don’t exist in the real world is thrilling and forces me to stretch my writing abilities and challenge my limits.

Growing up, I was never an outdoorsy person. While the other kids would play in the neighborhood, I’d opt to stay inside and get lost in a book. There is nothing more satisfying than reading a good book.
how did it begin…
Seeing your inner thoughts and emotions poured onto paper and put on display for the world to see, leaves you feeling both exposed and revitalized. I love it.
My mother read a lot of books. There were always stacks of them laying around the house in various stages of completion. Curious, I started reading the old paperbacks she’d pack away in the garage, always with the intent to recycle or resale them. To me, it was a treasure trove. This was my first introduction to historical romance and espionage novels. I fell in love with the brilliant minds of Sidney Sheldon and Rosemary Rogers. These early influences definitely shaped the way my mind works when I’m approaching a new project.
After graduating from the University of North Texas, I decided to pursue my dreams of becoming a novelist. I completed Love Script in 2006. The book was published in February 2007 by New Concepts Publishing.
There is nothing more satisfying than having your work in print. Seeing your inner thoughts and emotions poured onto paper and put on display for the world to see, leaves you feeling both exposed and revitalized. I love it.

My Favorite Things
02. Reading
I read a lot of books. I average 230 books a year. Audio, ebook, paperback, it doesn’t matter. I love books.
04. Coffe & Beignets
I will commit high crimes and for a good cup of coffee and fluffy beignets.
06. The Beach
I absolutely love the beach. Warm weather & sand between my toes…yes please!
01. Writing
stephen king once said “reading is inhaling. writing is exhaling.” I completely agree. Even though writing often feels like i’m in a fight for my life (LOL), it is 100% worth the grind.
03. Collecting Books
Have I read all of them? …no. Am I addicted to collecting them? …yes.
05. Disney World
I love pretty much anything disney. Every time we go, I swear i turn into a 10 year old kid as soon as we enter the park.
CURRENTLY I’M WORKING ON
I love any story that can make me laugh, cry & everything in between.
I’m constantly crafting story ideas, which is a challenge because I’m a professional procrastinator. But once I’m obsessed with an idea, it’s hard for me to let go of it.
I’m currently working on a three book series based on a friends to lovers /second chance romance. Of course, it will be sexy. Of course, there will be drama. Of course, it will be emotional. Of course…did I say it would be steamy?
