Beyond the Velvet Rope

Scoring a gig at Miami’s Club Babylon is a fantasy come true for New York promoter Thandie Shaw. The hottest club on the strip is a magnet for major South Beach movers and shakers. And Thandie’s about to meet the biggest player of them all.

Babylon owner Elliot Richards is macho, arrogant, sexist—everything Thandie doesn’t want in a boss or lover. Elliot is also the most erotic man who’s ever wanted to take her to bed. But Thandie’s no fool. Even as he tries to seduce her into a world of intense and shocking passion, she knows it’s too good to last…especially after she uncovers Elliot’s explosive secrets.

Thandie’s going down a dangerous road, and she’s risking a lot more than her career. Torn between doubt and desire, will she have to pay the ultimate price?

Darkly sensual and deeply moving, Beyond the Velvet Rope takes you into a world of uncontrollable desire and unexpected consequences.

Questions & Answers

You’ve got questions? I’ve got answers. If I missed anything, let me know.

I took a trip to Miami and I fell in love with the city. I’m an over thinker by nature. So of course I found the inner workings of the nightclub life interesting. How do clubs compete with each other. How do they operate? What goes into the entertainment productions? Again, over thinker. That was the ground work for the story.

Short answer…yes. I plan to pickup the sequel in the near future as soon as I wrap up my current projects.

I’ve gotten several emails about this. I like Danny and Cooper but for the purposes of Love Script, each served his purpose. Cooper was Nick’s antagonist and Danny was Laney’s support system. Other than reappearing in the sequel, I can’t see Danny carrying his own plot. As for Cooper, the jury is still out on him. He’s a fun character and he has enough background interest to hold a solid story line. I’d have to think about it.

Elliot Richards is a mysterious character. We has a lot to unwrap with him. I think the story needs to focus on his feelings for Thandie. And honestly, I’d like to see Thandie give him a taste of his own medicine.
